The short bob hairstyle with bangs always reminds me of Lady Gaga. I still can’t figure that woman out. But it just seems like something she’d wear, something that draws attention and is sort of controversial, depending on how its worn.

Natalie Portman wore this hairstyle once for a role in a movie. She’s cute anyway, but I remember her hair better than the movie. Louise Brooks also wore one, but hers was so feminine and classy. It was very flat to her head and sleek, with that extra bit of curl at the tips. Since her hair was dark she looked very elegant. However, most of the time when I see this hairstyle I think it looks like a shag gone bad, and that’s not the way it’s supposed to look.

If you’re going to get a short bob with bangs, talk to your stylist about how to keep it straight and laying flat to your head. It doesn’t look right otherwise. A bit of mess may do for it, but not a lot. This hairstyle also must be just above the chin; it usually stops right at the ears, and goes no lower than that. It’s a short bob, not a full on bob. The point is more to draw attention to your face and away from your forehead. It’s actually a good hairstyle for those of us who hate our foreheads, as long as it’s not platinum and all over the place like Lady Gaga.
