There are many styling challenges for short fine hair. Because of its baby fine texture, short fine hair may end up looking dry and wispy. Short fine hair calls for a cut and style that will boost the volume and create the impression of more hair.

Styling bangs on short fine hair is doubly challenging but a correctly cut layered bangs or fringe on thin hair could be the best bangs style to pair with short fine hair. Messy, tousled or side-swept layered bangs is a wonderful way to boost volume right at the hairline for thin, fine hair. But layered bangs are the best solution for thin fine hair that is straight.

Christina Aguilera Has Thin, Fine Hair

Sometimes when thin, fine hair is cut into a full bluntly cut frontal bangs, there is a predisposition for the hair to fall flat on the forehead. The layering process separate, lift, and add lightness to a frontal fringe for thin, fine hair. Even bangs cut straight across will not look very dramatic on thin, baby fine hair.

Fine, straight hair makes scissor marks quite obvious, so precision cutting is what is required. Layers and short heavy bangs will look great on straight, fine hair since it will give the overall impression of thicker hair. Burt extra care should be given to cutting the short heavy bangs. If the fringe is cut far back in the direction of the crown, the fringe may be too unbalanced or uneven to have a nice layered shape. To avoid this, having a hair cut is best done by an experienced hair stylist.

It is of vital importance to stay away from too short or too many layers, otherwise the bangs won’t lie or settle properly and there might be short strands sticking out of the layers. Photo Copyright of PR PHOTOS

Choosing Hairstyle for My Face Shape

In: Uncategorized

18 Nov 2011

In choosing a hairstyle, whether you want your hair up or down, with a center part or side part, with or without bangs, you must first know the shape of your face. Once you know which type of face shape you have, it will be easier for you to decide on what hairstyle you should choose. To help you in your choice, here are some tips for choosing hairstyle for a particular face shape:

Oval shape
If your face has an oval shape, you are one lucky lady, oval is considered the most ideal of all face shapes. You can wear almost any haircut style and look perfect on them. Oulling your hair off your face, however, is one great way to show an almost balanced feature of an oval shape face. If you have a preference for bangs, wear side-swept bangs that will draw attention to your eyes and soften the angles of the forehead. Layered hair with the ends angled to frame the face is also another way to emphasize a facial feature such as your eyes, your cheekbones and nose.

Round shape
Round faces tends to be fuller on the cheeks giving it a shorter and rounder countenance. The hairstyle that you should choose is one that will give an illusion of a longer and slimmer face. A hairstyle with an off- center part will pull the eyes towards one side of your face and lessen the roundness of your face. Hairstyles that are full or with volume on the crown will also give the illusion of a longer, slimmer face. If your preference is for a layered hairstyle, have plentiful layers on the top not on the sides.

Heart shape
A heart shape face has a wide forehead and pointed chin. Your hairstyle should be one that will create a narrower forehead while adding more width to the chin area. A chin length bob with a side part that is full at the bottom will be a perfect hairstyle for you. The fuller ends of the hairstyle will add width to your jaw line and chin while the side part will detract attention from the pointed chin while creating more balance to your wide forehead. Full layered bangs swept to the side will also good on a heart shape face, so are layers combed forward towards the upper half of the face.

Square shape
A square face usually has a strong and angular jaw and a square forehead. The hairstyle that you should choose is one that should have an illusion of softening the angles of the jaw and forehead. This can be achieved with hairstyles or haircuts that draw attention to the cheekbones such as one with wispy bangs or soft waves that curls at the temples and jaw area. A center part also gives the illusion of a narrower brow.

Victory rolls are a bit complicated to achieve but try it anyway, here’s how:
• Hair should be at least mid-length. Start by parting damp hair as though you’re creating a half up ponytail
• Blow dry hair by sections and gently flick the hair up, roll them like ice cream cones and pin them down as you work. Repeat the process on the other side of the head. Photo Copyright of PR PHOTOS

Taylor Swift embraces and enhances her natural look. The use of a flatiron boosts her natural curls into corkscrews that cascade away into perfect ringlets. The deep side-parted sweep of hair that almost covers one eye provides symmetry and balance to Taylor’s gorgeous face. The ends of Taylor’s cascading curls were allowed to fall over her collar bone and lay across her shoulders in very tempting ringlets.
